KOMAC was founded in 1969 as Korea’s first and only maritime technical consulting house. A sole forerunner, after successfully introducing Korea to the global maritime industry, KOMAC has since emerged as both a local and international leader in the field through its relentless research and development, client satisfaction, and business acumen.

Globally, the modern landscape of maritime technologies is quickly shifting towards championing the use of alternative, eco-friendly energy sources such as LNG, Hydrogen, Ammonia, and Methane, and fierce competition can be observed among constituents for market dominance in such resources and subsequent technologies. As such, the global environment as well as the technologies that lead the field are ever changing, but although this may project certain uncertainties in the market, we believe it to be an opportunity for growth and advancement.

KOMAC is ever focused on spearheading continuous research regarding current and future challenges, and is always building towards actualizing the dream of a carbon neutral global maritime industry.
